Job Overview:

A Senior Economist plays a pivotal role in driving economic research and analytics for the Indian markets. The position involves conducting in-depth analysis of policy spectrum and macro indicators, working closely with the Macro Strategist and collaborating with the investment strategy team to provide insightful market commentary.

  • Develop and maintain econometric models to forecast future trends and risks, utilizing quantitative skills and expertise in Excel, VBA, and econometrics.
  • Analyze macroeconomic data to identify key economic trends and themes, leveraging knowledge of economics and related fields.
  • Stay abreast of global economic developments and their impact on markets, providing timely insights to inform business decisions.
  • Produce high-quality research commentary on market drivers, effectively communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Conduct secondary research and handle ad hoc requests, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Economics or a related field, preferably with a strong focus on econometrics and statistical analysis.
  • 2-4 years of experience as an Economic Analyst or Junior Economist, with a proven track record of delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
