Job Title: Senior Automation Tester

Role Summary
Our team is looking for a skilled Automation Tester to join our ranks. As a senior member, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated test scripts using Java and Cucumber BDD framework. Your expertise in API testing, test planning, and continuous integration will help drive the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Automated Test Scripts: Create robust, scalable, automated tests that ensure reusability and maintainability for long-term automation coverage.
- API Testing: Design and execute automated tests for RESTful web services using Rest Assured and Postman tools, ensuring API functionality, reliability, performance, and security.
- Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies to validate complex software systems, defining testing standards and best practices.
- Continuous Integration and Build Automation: Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins tool, ensuring tests run automatically and reliably with each code check-in.
- Agile and TDD Collaboration: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives), collaborating closely with developers and business analysts to support Test Driven Development (TDD) and behavior-driven testing.
- Defect Management and Troubleshooting: Identify, document, and track software defects using integrated tools, performing root cause analysis and collaborating with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Effort Estimation and Planning: Estimate testing effort for new features or regression scope, providing accurate timeframes for test case development and execution.
- Mentoring and Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers on automation best practices and coding standards, driving improvements in testing efficiency, automation coverage, and overall software quality.
- Quality Advocacy: Advocate for quality assurance best practices across development teams, ensuring high product quality and reliability before releases.
