Senior HVAC Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC system design and be able to develop and maintain complex designs for commercial and industrial buildings.

  • Gathers and correlates engineering data using established procedures.
  • Develops and maintains HVAC system designs, including load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork layouts.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure HVAC designs integrate seamlessly with other building systems.
  • Conducts energy modeling and analysis to optimize HVAC system efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Working closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of HVAC designs with other building systems.
  • Conducting site visits to assess existing HVAC systems and propose improvements or retrofits.
  • Developing and maintaining technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in HVAC system design for commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software such as HAP and IES.
  • Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards and local building codes.
