Backend Software Development Expert Wanted

Migrate core functionality from legacy .NET monolith to modern, event-driven architecture using Java Spring Boot microservices.

Design and develop high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices. Analyze existing .NET code that integrates with the loan servicing platform, understand its business logic, and lead its migration to the new Java stack.

Decommission legacy .NET message broker and implement a modern event-driven system using cloud-native technologies like Google Cloud Pub/Sub.

Build and deploy services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including Cloud Functions, Spanner, and Firestore.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Own the entire development lifecycle, demonstrating confidence in taking features to production through a robust CI/CD pipeline.

Utilize AI-based tools and methodologies to assist in the analysis, translation, and refactoring of legacy .NET code, improving the efficiency and accuracy of the migration.

Key Qualifications & Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
  • Professional experience with .NET (C#), with a demonstrated ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Proven experience working with message brokers and event streaming platforms (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub).
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
