Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Vernacular Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for translating content from English to Hindi and coordinating vernacular outreach efforts.

  • To translate written English content into accurate and meaningful Hindi for various campaigns and materials.
  • Coordinate with freelance translators and proofreaders to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate delivery of multilingual campaign content.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining the Hindi website, including uploading content and ensuring regular updates.
  • Support content development and management of regional social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with teams to create and adapt Hindi creatives for social media use.
  • Stay informed about ongoing and upcoming campaigns to ensure consistency and accuracy across all Hindi content.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Meet assigned deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Apply a strong understanding of animal rights and advocacy to all translation and coordination work.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) years of practical experience in translation from English to Hindi.
  • Strong coordination skills and ability to effectively manage a team of freelance translators.
  • Excellent translation skill from English to Hindi and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and engagement practices.
  • Experience with website and social media content management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications.
  • Strong time-management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong alignment with animal rights philosophy and ability to advocate positions respectfully and effectively.
  • Commitment to the objectives and mission of the organisation.
