Fiber Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced professional to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks. This role involves working on field deployment, testing, and ensuring high-quality connectivity for enterprise, ISP projects.

Fiber engineers play a vital role in maintaining our network infrastructure by performing various tasks including:

  • Installation and splicing of fiber optic cables
  • Performing OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure network quality
  • Supporting network maintenance, fault identification, and restoration of fiber breaks
  • Maintaining accurate records of fiber routes, splicing details, and test reports
  • Coordinating with field teams, contractors, and customers during project execution
  • Ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines

To be successful as a Fiber Engineer, you should have a strong background in fiber optics and excellent problem-solving skills. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a team environment, this role may be suitable for you.

Apart from core responsibilities, preferred competencies include understanding of FTTH, DWDM, MPLS, and backbone fiber networks, exposure to ISP / Telecom / Infrastructure projects, and knowledge of safety standards and industry best practices.
