Job Title: SQL Database Administrator

This role involves managing and maintaining production databases, ensuring data security and integrity. We are seeking a skilled DBA to join our team in developing scalable technology solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility will be the management of production databases servers, including security, deployment, maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Setting up SQL Server replication, mirroring and high availability as would be required across hybrid environments.
  • Design and implementation of new installations, on Azure, AWS and cloud hosting with no specific DB services.
  • Deploy and maintain on premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/ MySQL installation.
  • Database security and protection against SQL injection, exploiting of intellectual property, etc.,
  • To work with development teams assisting with data storage and query design/optimization where required.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of essential applications.
  • Demonstrate expertise and add valuable input throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Help design and implement scalable, lasting technology solutions.
  • Review current systems, suggesting updates as would be required.
  • Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document procedures to setup and maintain a highly available SQL Server database on Azure cloud, on premise and Hybrid environments.
  • Test and debug new applications and updates
  • Resolve reported issues and reply to queries in a timely manner.
  • Remain up to date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments.
  • Identify potential challenges and bottlenecks in order to address them proactively.
