Job Title: Ignition SCADA

  • Lead design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems PLC SCADA MES with enterprise IT systems ERP databases cloud.
  • Develop and maintain secure efficient data exchange using REST APIs MQTT and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases SQL historian timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot optimize and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in SCADA/MES engineering within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA Inductive Automation including scripting module configuration and project deployment.
  • Strong background in MES functions production tracking OEE downtime analysis traceability SPC etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies.
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems PLC SCADA HMIs and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95 ISA88 ISA99 IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms Azure IoT AWS IoT etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization Docker Kubernetes for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
