Design Engineer - Content Experience

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our Product Content Experience team and help us create a world-class documentation platform.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building and scaling the platform that empowers millions of developers to be successful. You will use your skills to ensure we have relevant and up-to-date content whenever our customers need it.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing engineering team, collaborating with technical writers, content strategists, developer educators, product managers, and engineers who are passionate about developing and improving the customer experience.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Building and maintaining our documentation platform (and soon other platforms)
  • Working with technical writers, content strategists, and developer educators to create a seamless process for technical content
  • Collaborating with Product teams to be customer zero for Cloudflare's own products within our documentation platform
  • Cultivating and establishing relationships both internally and externally with users of our documentation, being a thoughtful point of contact to help collect and implement improvements based on feedback
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2-7 years of experience working with distributed systems
  • Experience designing and building frontend applications
  • A solid understanding of cloud primitives and how they work together to build distributed systems
  • Knowledge of at least one modern strongly-typed programming language: we primarily use TypeScript
  • Experience debugging, optimizing, and identifying failure modes in frontend applications
