Job Description

This is a Technical Business Analyst role for our EDP Platform team. The successful candidate will support critical operations, contributing to the customer's strategic vision of expanding EDP data entitlement.

The job requires analyzing workflows and operational processes to identify optimization opportunities. It also involves developing comprehensive KPIs and performance dashboards for platform monitoring and decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze EDP platform workflows and operational processes to identify optimization opportunities
  • Develop comprehensive KPIs and performance dashboards for platform monitoring and decision-making
  • Support the Enterprise Data Council with data-driven insights for strategic direction and product management
  • Document and standardize operational procedures across EDP Architecture, Platform Engineering, and Data Engineering teams
  • Contribute to lifecycle management of IT platform products

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and cloud operations
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for complex data analysis and automation
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform and FinOps practices
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
  • Understanding of infrastructure monitoring and cost optimization principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with big data analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud cost management tools and advanced FinOps methodologies
  • Experience with utilities or energy industry data and operations
  • Familiarity with ITIL, process improvement frameworks, or operational excellence practices
  • AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, or FinOps Certified)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipeline analytics
  • Understanding of disaster recovery planning and resiliency architecture

Collaborations & Reporting:

  • Reports to Technology Leadership team
  • Works closely with Vanguard (Operations & Support), Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, and Architecture teams
  • Interfaces with Enterprise Data Council for strategic reporting and insights
  • Collaborates with vendor management for AWS, Databricks, and other technology providers
  • Supports cross-functional initiatives with IT parties and external consultants
