Key Requirements:

  • A Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance in the insurance sector.
About this Role

This role plays a pivotal part in our organization's commitment to upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

The Compliance Officer is accountable for ensuring that all regulatory submissions are uploaded to the IRDA portal in a timely manner, coordinating with stakeholders as needed.

This includes tracking and maintaining regulatory registers, working closely with business units and teams to ensure accurate and complete information.

Effective communication with regulators is also crucial, including notifications of branch openings/closures, directorship changes, and other relevant matters.

In addition, the Compliance Officer is responsible for updating and tracking salesperson and SP details on the IIB Envoy Portal, reviewing periodically to ensure accuracy.

Evaluating and coordinating the renewal of applicable licenses, such as CA/ISNP/Envoy, with stakeholders and repository maintenance is another key responsibility.

The Compliance Officer must also issue NOCs for exited SPs and detag PAN from IRDA & Envoy, maintaining records accordingly.

Applying for telemarketing licenses and submitting regulatory data to IRDAI as stipulated is another critical task.

Maintaining the regulatory checklist, tracking IRDAI data, registers, timely submissions, grievances, and other critical areas with stakeholders is essential.

Coordination with finance, product teams, and insurers for monthly reconciliation sign-offs, addressing gaps identified in the process is also required.

Managing and tracking agreements, SLAs, and commission structures with insurers is a significant aspect of this role.

Tracking grievances from the grievance team, insurers, and coordinating resolution with business, product, and branch teams, maintaining the grievance register as per regulatory requirements is a vital duty.

Providing audit checklists and coordinating with functional audit teams to track audit resolutions for branches is another key responsibility.

Conducting compliance checks on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) activities, providing checklists to the compliance team and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

Bookkeeping and updating litigation cases, informing regulators as necessary is a significant task.

This role requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
