Backend Engineer Position

About Culvii, we are building a platform that transforms expertise into artificial domain intelligence, empowering professionals to focus on their strengths.

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services using Node.js, Fastify, and Express.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services in a monorepo architecture with Turborepo or Nx. They will also implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, containerize and orchestrate services with Docker and Kubernetes, and deploy and maintain infrastructure on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

In addition, they will write well-documented APIs and test them using Postman and automated tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, and ensure backend systems follow best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Node.js, Typescript, and its ecosystem.
  • Experience working with monorepo setups, including Turborepo and Nx.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD workflows and tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP services, including compute, networking, and storage.
  • Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, MCP, etc.
  • Familiarity with API testing and load testing tools.
