Key Responsibilities:

  • Full life cycle support of client databases in RAC and non-RAC environments, including Active DataGuard for DR, partitioning, and backups.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata patching and maintenance is required.
  • Responsible for database design, development, testing, performance tuning, and working with developers to promote database changes throughout Dev, UAT, and Prod environments.
  • Perform quarterly patch applications (PSU) and periodic database upgrades with minimal downtime.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with database systems implementation and administration.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to administer high-transaction Standalone/RAC production server environments on premises and in the cloud.
  • Strong analytical abilities to solve complex database performance issues.
  • Knowledge of managing Automatic Storage Management, Oracle Exadata, and database upgrade/migrations.
  • Experience with backup and recovery tools, Oracle DataGuard Physical Standby configuration, and database programming/query troubleshooting.
  • Good written/oral communication and soft skills are essential.
