Senior Software Development Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate analysis and problem definition to determine operational feasibility
  • Develop documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code to document and demonstrate solutions
  • Determine and design system specifications, standards, and programming to prepare and install solutions
  • Conduct systems analysis and recommend changes in policies and procedures to improve operations
  • Obtain and license software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, testing and approving products
  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment
  • Participate in educational opportunities and read professional publications to stay current
  • Protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
  • Achieve engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle

Skill Sets:

  • Hands-on experience in software development using Python and C++
  • Experience designing interactive applications
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Proficiency in software engineering tools
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
