Project Financial Manager Job Description

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial management of projects is carried out in accordance with company procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review project budgets and forecasts to ensure accurate financial information is available to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and control project expenditure to ensure it aligns with budgeted amounts.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting systems to provide timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on financial matters.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making processes related to project financials.
  • Identify and mitigate potential financial risks associated with projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding financial management.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project financial performance to ensure targets are being met.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Qualified Accountant (CA/ICWA) with a minimum of 2-5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Working experience in project finance or controlling preferably in an AS7 & AS9 environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of SAP FI, PP, Project and MM modules.
