Senior Cloud Software Developer

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with solid technical credentials for a position within our Service Management organization. In this role, you will collaborate with technology peers and business partners to build and deploy the foundation for next-generation software applications and services.

About the Role

• In this opportunity, you will focus on cloud landing zone services, tools, and processes.
• You will design and implement PaaS or IaaS solutions using Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and Google cloud providers.
• Discrete micro services with simple repeatable cloud native architectural patterns.
• Utilize open source software and tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.
• Programming languages including Python, C#, and Bash.
• Distributed data stores like S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Azure Storage, CosmosDB, Azure SQL, and Redis cache.
• Security best practices for cloud environments.
• Serverless architecture using AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.
• Container technology including Docker, AWS ECS, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Cloud Monitoring using Azure Monitor and DataDog.
• Test automation frameworks including C# Unit Testing and Postman API testing.
• Participate in a high-performance team responsible for operating production-hosted products in the cloud.
• Provide service and infrastructure support and troubleshooting assistance.
• Operations work includes resource provisioning, deployments, monitoring, alerting, configuration management, access management, and continually improving standards.
• Respond to alerts and resolve incidents using a ServiceNow-based ticketing system.
• Handle Change and Incident Management for CloudOps teams.
• Develop and refine solutions and services for cloud landing zones.
• Work collaboratively with development, client services, product management, security, and other teams in a CI/CD environment.
• Communicate effectively to ensure accuracy of work, requirements are met, and expectations are set.
• Coding for infrastructure continuous build and delivery automation.
• Ensure consistency with cloud architectural guiding principles for assigned projects.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technology trends and vendors.

About You :

• Requirements include skills with cloud landing zones, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
• A minimum of 3 to 6 years engineering experience.
• Scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or UNIX/Shell.
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently.
• Excellent communication skills, including effective presentation skills.
• Experience working in a development team, managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks, and communicating project status.
• Proven problem-solving skills, ability to take ownership of problems, identify solutions, and drive resolution.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, ability to work well in a team environment and one-on-one.
• Experience building cloud-native applications and services following cloud-native architecture methodologies.
• Comfortable working in Windows and *Nix environments, writing scripts, and utilizing cloud services.
• Outgoing innovator investigating new technologies and suggesting improvements.
