Head of Patent Search and Licensing

The successful candidate will lead our Search & Licensing vertical, providing strategic direction and business leadership to drive the growth and profitability of our IP services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for our Search & Licensing business unit.
  • Align our offerings with market needs and evolving IP trends.
  • Set annual goals and budget forecasts for the business unit.
  • Own the profit and loss of the vertical, ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.
  • Develop pricing strategies and resource allocation plans to maximize profitability.
  • Supervise the execution of all IP Search and Analytics services, including patentability/novelty searches, freedom to operate (FTO) searches, invalidity/validity searches, and patent landscaping/technology scouting.
  • Lead the design and execution of IP Monetization strategies and support clients in identifying licensing opportunities and negotiating deals.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, offering insight-driven IP solutions and ensuring high client satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and consistent service quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or technology.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Intellectual Property is preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in IP services, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing patent search, analytics, and/or licensing projects with global client experience.
