Job Description

As a Metro Platform Manager, you are responsible for the efficient operation of one of our metro train platforms. You will serve as the key liaison between sales departments and engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to deliver high-quality platform solutions.

  • Work closely with sales teams to gather customer insights and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • Analyze competitors' products, trends, and innovations to inform platform development decisions.
  • Evaluate customer needs and decide which requirements to prioritize within the overall platform concept.
  • Develop and maintain feature lists, add new features as backlog items, and assess their customer value and priority.
  • Collaborate with international engineering teams to communicate customer needs and provide guidance on project direction.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive the further development of the platform and associated technical solutions.
  • Update and implement changes to platform concepts, including design-to-cost activities.
  • Monitor platform development costs and ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Apply platform solutions in bids and projects, driving business growth and success.

Required Skills:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the railway industry, with leadership roles along the way.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in product development, with a focus on complex problem-solving.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (optional).
  • Self-motivated, driven, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Passionate about tackling complex challenges.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong focus on standardization and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and intercultural skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and prioritize effectively.
