Enterprise Data Architect Lead

Job Description:

The successful Enterprise Data Architect Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a scalable data architecture across cloud and hybrid environments. This includes designing relational and analytical data models to support business needs and ensuring data integrity.

Key responsibilities include consolidating core systems, building scalable infrastructure, implementing governance frameworks, enabling metadata and cataloguing, operationalising AI/ML pipelines, and partnering across functions.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in data architecture, with 3+ years in a senior or leadership role across cloud or hybrid environments. They should also have proven ability to design and scale large data platforms, hands-on expertise with ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines, and extensive experience with Microsoft Azure data services.

Requirements:

  • Experience with data governance, compliance (GDPR/CCPA), metadata cataloguing, and security practices
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and streaming frameworks like Spark or Flink
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
