Job Title:

Corporate Lawyer Specialist

About the Role:

The Corporate Lawyer Specialist will handle all administrative matters of client companies, maintaining and developing relationships with clients, and managing client teams to ensure client files are in good legal and financial standing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare corporate documents such as directors' resolutions, powers of attorney, principals' indemnity letters, register of members and directors, shares and participation certificates, service agreements, certificates of incumbency, incorporation, liquidation and other type of legal documents.
  • Participate in the incorporation and termination processes of companies.
  • Provide fee quotations for services to clients and charge fees accordingly.
  • Monitor productivity and chargeability on a weekly basis and review productivity and performance against targets.
  • Ensure actions taken are consistent with company activities and purpose within the legal and economic framework.
  • Manage companies and ensure accurate and up-to-date information in client files.
  • Assure companies are capitalized and management agreements are available in client files.
  • Work closely with managers to maintain the client database and provide advice on complex requests.
  • Develop and update legal manuals and procedures and contribute to system development and maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly reports for the Management Team and work on assigned projects.
  • Offer advice, knowledge, and experience to colleagues.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Law / Economics) or Qualified Company Secretary.
  • 8+ years of experience in legal and corporate/company management services.
  • Strong commercial mindset, takes initiative, positive, proactive, dedicated, focused, revenue and target driven.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, well-developed spoken and written communication skills, and ability to tailor style to relevant audiences.
  • Excellent English language fluency, additional languages preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution-driven, highly organized, and detail-oriented with good decision-making and time management skills.
  • Independent, hands-on, and takes accountability to deliver solutions and results.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a smaller, dynamic local team environment.
