E-Commerce Risk Specialist

This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on Amazon's e-commerce platform, ensuring the safety and security of tens of millions of products and customers worldwide.

As an E-Commerce Risk Specialist, you will be part of the RISC team, responsible for protecting Amazon customers from products that are illegal or restricted by Amazon policies.

The successful candidate will help design, create, and deploy internal tools and technologies to keep Amazon a safe place to shop. You will partner with various stakeholders to provide employees with the best user-facing tools and stay up-to-date with emerging threats and risks in the e-commerce space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Operational Strategies: Develop operational strategies for complex business needs, incorporating inputs and driving alignment across global teams.
  • Manage Complex Initiatives: Oversee the delivery of intricate projects across various teams, including data analysis, process optimization, and catalog classification.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain metrics and reporting to monitor risks, program health, and initiative progress.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments of existing controls and recommend solutions to address identified risks.
  • Compliance Vulnerability: Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, developing corrective action plans for resolution and providing guidance on avoiding similar situations.
About the Team

The Compliance Health team acts as the pulse of WW Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and Compliance (RISC), developing processes to reduce risk on the catalog, driving risk metrics, standardization, and simplification of processes across all teams in RISC.

The team prioritizes risk reduction, working with global program leads to set up and standardize processes for risk reduction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Program or Project Management: 2+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • Data-Driven Improvements: Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Requirements Definition: Experience defining requirements, facilitating progress, and identifying blockers.
  • Process Improvement: Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
  • End-to-End Delivery: Experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery.
  • Team Efficiency: Experience improving team efficiency and improving processes.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education or Certification: Education or certification background such as Six Sigma, Lean Techniques, or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Operations Oriented Projects: Demonstrated experience and success in Operations-oriented projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Independent Decision Making: Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Program Management Strategy: Ability to define Program Management strategies; ability to deliver independently, with limited guidance and structure.
  • Multistakeholder Management: Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Goal-Oriented Work: Commitment towards goals and outcomes and ensuring Customer Experience metrics are maintained.
