
Primary Care Management Specialist

Job Summary:
The Primary Care Manager will be responsible for advancing the organisation's health strategy, with a strong focus on strengthening primary care systems and institutions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement projects/grant proposals, conduct project reviews, and monitor related projects in the Primary Care domain.
- Ensure regular grant releases, identification of sector priorities, opportunities for collaborations, and contribution to health strategy.
- Team Leadership:
- Guide Programme Officers in their day-to-day activities while contributing to the organisational leadership pipeline.
- Liaise with other thematic projects to ensure synergies and improved efficiency.
- Institutional Partnerships:
- Lead evaluations and ensure strategic alignment of institutions seeded by the Trusts, such as India Health Fund and Health System Transformation Platform.
- Ensure fund flows and programmatic planning.
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee MIS, LFA, Fluxx, Internal Audit, and Annual Work Plan processes.
- Grant Review and Approval:
- Assist the Theme Head in reviewing grant requests and partnership opportunities.
- Serve as SPOC for academic medical institutions and medical research organisations (national and international).
- Internal Reviews and Meetings:
- Participate in review meetings and attend to tasks assigned by management.
Requirements:
- MD/ MBBS with MBA/ MPH/ MHA is essential.
- Qualification in Quality Frameworks such as NABH, NQAS, JCI, etc. is desirable.
- Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification, relevant work experience in Primary Care settings within Public Health Organisations/Academic Medical Institutions.
- Bachelor's degree in medicine or public health is required.
- A Master's degree in business administration or public health is an asset.
- Familiarity with healthcare policies and regulations in India is necessary.
- Demonstrated expertise in programme management and team leadership.
