Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kafka Service Mesh Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for upgrading the Service Mesh, migrating Kafka clusters, managing deployments on OpenShift, and ensuring secure seamless integration in a restricted environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about working with cutting-edge technologies such as Kafka and Service Mesh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upgrade Service Mesh from version 2.0 to 3.0 on production clusters.
  • Migrate Kafka from Mirror Maker & Zookeeper to KRaft architecture.
  • Deploy configure and manage Kafka and Service Mesh on OpenShift (OCP) environments.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Kafka Service Mesh and microservices hosted on OpenShift.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams for production rollouts.
  • Perform troubleshooting optimization and security hardening within a highly restricted environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift (OCP).
  • Solid understanding of microservices communication patterns and hybrid cloud/on-prem architectures.
  • 5-8 years of overall IT experience with proven expertise in Kafka and Service Mesh technologies.
  • Prior banking or secure environment project experience preferred.
