Talend Data Integration Expert

Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Talend data integration expert to design, develop, implement, and maintain robust data integration solutions.

  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Design, develop, and implement complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) jobs using Talend for Data Integration.
    • Establish connections to and extract data from various disparate sources, including relational databases, flat files, XML, JSON, web services, and other enterprise applications.
    • Implement data cleansing, validation, transformation, and aggregation logic within Talend jobs to ensure data quality and integrity before loading into target systems.
    • Schedule, monitor, and manage the execution of Talend jobs, ensuring timely data availability and addressing any job failures or performance issues.
    • Optimize Talend jobs for performance, scalability, and resource utilization. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data pipelines.
    • Perform in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of data discrepancies, integration failures, and performance issues within Talend jobs and data flows.
    • Collaborate with data architects and data analysts to understand data models and requirements for data warehousing and reporting solutions.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed Talend jobs, data flows, mappings, and transformations.
    • Work closely with data architects, database administrators, business analysts, and other development teams to ensure successful data integration and project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Talend Open Studio for Data Integration, including knowledge of various components, connectors, and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing principles, and data modeling (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, manipulating, and optimizing data across various database systems.
  • Experience working with different relational and potentially NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex data integration challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Talend certifications are a plus.
