Finance IT Business Analyst Role

This is a high-profile, dynamic role for a skilled Finance IT Business Analyst to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP S/4 HANA, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Finance IT Business Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of existing processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. They will also gather requirements, design solutions, test and validate implemented solutions, and build comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of current processes to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and streamlining.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collect, document, and verify functional requirements to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement effective IT solutions that support Finance operations.
  • Testing and Validation: Create and execute test cases to guarantee that implemented solutions meet defined requirements and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including user guides, training materials, and process flow diagrams.
  • Collaborator Management: Effectively interact with collaborators at all levels, fostering positive relationships and addressing their concerns.
  • ERP Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, encompassing its core modules and functionalities related to Finance.
  • Operations: Provide user training as needed, covering root cause analysis, incident management, and process improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, preferably in a Finance domain.
  • Expertise in ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Sound understanding of financial processes, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
