Marine Structure Expert Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in marine structure design, analysis, and construction to lead our port development projects in Trivandrum, Kerala.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a deep understanding of marine structures—from breakwaters, jetties, quays, to seawalls—to contribute to sustainable coastal development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the design, planning, and construction of marine infrastructure including breakwaters, jetties, quay walls, and docks for major port projects.
  2. Provide expertise in coastal and marine engineering to optimize the performance, stability, and sustainability of port infrastructure in challenging coastal environments.
  3. Conduct advanced structural and geotechnical assessments to ensure the long-term durability and stability of marine structures under varying tidal and wave conditions.
  4. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful execution of marine construction works.
  5. Ensure construction processes align with environmental regulations and safety standards to minimize impacts on the coastal ecosystem and meet industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in marine structures design, construction, and project execution.
  • Post Graduate degree in Marine Structures or equivalent, with a strong academic foundation in coastal and marine engineering principles.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in coastal or marine construction, working on breakwater systems, jetties, seawalls, and other port infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in marine engineering software (e.g., MIKE21, AutoCAD, STAAD Pro) for designing and simulating coastal and marine structures.
  • Strong knowledge of coastal processes, including hydrodynamics, wave modeling, and sediment transport.
  • Experience with risk management and ability to develop cost-effective and durable solutions for marine infrastructure.
