Backend Developer in Golang for High-Performance Systems

About the Role:

Avenue Code is seeking a highly skilled Backend Golang Developer to join our team. As a seasoned professional, you will play a key role in designing and developing complex, high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Development: Develop, optimize, and maintain APIs written in Golang that integrate with various services and platforms.
  • Cloud-Based Infrastructure: Work on cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS, to ensure scalable and resilient backend systems.
  • Systems Integration: Understand and integrate with existing systems, including SQL and Postgres databases, and the React based front-end.
  • Collaboration and SDLC Activities: Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and other software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities.
  • Problem-Solving & Complexity: Tackle complex business logic and system integration challenges, often requiring deep understanding and discussion before implementation.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Golang in a production environment.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining APIs and integrations.
  • Expertise in cloud technologies, preferably AWS, including cloud-native applications and microservices architecture.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and break down complex business requirements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience working in the e-commerce domain or understanding e-commerce systems.
  • Familiarity with Java and the ability to integrate or migrate between languages if necessary.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Postgres for managing backend databases.
