Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead our cloud infrastructure initiatives.

  • Implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure via code, providing strategic advice on Azure technologies based on industry trends in public cloud environments.
  • Integrate and automate the delivery of standardized Azure deployments with orchestration products such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Azure ARM templates.
  • Provide technical support and fault resolution for level three Azure-related issues and guidance to operational run teams.
  • Translate business requirements into suitable solutions.
  • Maintain and deliver documentation for design, development, build, and deployment methods used.
  • Offer support and leadership to all support teams.
  • Lead security hardening and testing efforts.
Key Competencies

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience working as a data engineer on Azure Cloud.
  • Good knowledge of PySpark and Azure Data Factory.
  • Comprehensive understanding of public cloud environments and industry trends.
  • Significant experience supporting, designing, and developing public cloud solutions via Infrastructure as Code.
  • Extensive DevOps experience.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in security hardening and testing.
  • Proven ability in creating and updating accurate documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours and weekends as required.
