Senior Flutter Developer for Live Streaming App

We are looking for a skilled Senior Flutter developer to join our team and help build a live streaming app.

The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing end-to-end integration and optimization of ZEGOCLOUD features in Flutter apps across Android and iOS, ensuring smooth performance and battery-friendly operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement live streaming features, including host/guest flows, co-hosting, PK battles, multi-guest, and invite/signaling functionality.
  • Develop beauty filters, stickers/overlays, effect intensity controls, and device-adaptive quality features.
  • Design and implement real-time communication features, such as 1:1 and group video/voice calls, audio rooms, and spatial audio (if supported).
  • Create chat and signaling features, including room chat, reactions, gifts, robust reconnect, and state sync.
  • Manage room creation/joining/end, seat management, permissions, and host tools.
  • Implement moderation features, including mute/kick/ban, content safeguards, report flows, and admin dashboards hooks.
  • Design and develop virtual gifting features, including gift animations, lucky gifts, combos, gift-led events, and counters.
  • Optimize performance by tuning fps/bitrate, thermal, and energy settings on iOS and ensuring crash-free stability.
  • Integrate platform plumbing features, including push notifications, deep links/universal links, and background modes (nice to have).

Requirements:

  • 3+ shipped Flutter apps with substantial ZEGOCLOUD UI Kit/SDK integration experience.
  • Strong grasp of ZegoExpressEngine concepts, including rooms, streams, tokens, and signaling.
  • Proven track record of implementing beauty filters, PK battles, audio rooms, stickers, and virtual gifting in production.
  • Experience with performance tuning, CPU/GPU tradeoffs, device gating, and thermal handling (iOS).
  • Solid knowledge of iOS and Android platform features, including entitlements, background modes, permissions, and ProGuard/obfuscation.
  • CI/CD familiarity for Flutter, including fastlane, code signing, Play/App Store basics.
