Software Solutions Development Opportunity

Job Description

Morgan Stanley is seeking a skilled software developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building applications using Java and other open-source technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support business needs. This includes analyzing user specifications and requirements, providing assistance in coding, testing, and debugging applications.

The candidate will work in a global virtual team, collaborating with colleagues from various locations. They will be expected to take ownership of small to medium-sized applications or application components within client websites and ensure timely delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in software development
  • Strong experience in building applications using Java (Spring Boot) and other open-source technologies
  • Hands-on knowledge of working on multithreaded applications
  • Excellent design skills, including design patterns
  • Experience in creating and consuming RESTful services and SOAP-based services
  • Object-oriented design and development experience in Java
  • Database skills, preferably DB2 or SQL Server, to design new or alter existing table structures
  • Experience in test-driven development and continuous integration models
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with agile methodologies
