About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and lakehouse architectures using Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data pipelines that scale with our business needs, utilizing Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Build and optimize lakehouse architectures on Azure using Delta Lake, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide expert guidance.
  • Implement end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows from diverse sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security across the lifecycle.
  • Leverage Azure services such as Data Lake Storage Gen2, Event Hubs, and Key Vault to ensure efficient data management.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep for automated provisioning and configuration, reducing costs and improving agility.
  • Optimize cloud resource usage for peak performance and cost-efficiency, aligning with our company's goals.
  • Work collaboratively with analysts and data scientists to deliver advanced analytics solutions, driving business insights and decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Expert-level experience with Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex transformations and performance tuning, ensuring optimal database performance.
  • Advanced Python skills for data pipeline development and orchestration, enabling seamless automation.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools for Azure, streamlining infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, ensuring agile and efficient software development.
