Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize database performance by analyzing and resolving bottlenecks affecting application and API response times.
  • Tune SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, and indexes for optimal execution plans.
  • Implement best practices for connection pooling, partitioning, and caching strategies to ensure efficient database operations.

Application & Middleware Integration Support:

  • Work with API Gateway and custom orchestration teams to optimize database interaction patterns and support GET/POST transaction flows.
  • Ensure efficient database design for web applications with high concurrency and SLA targets.

On-Premise & Cloud Integration:

  • Manage data synchronization between on-prem Oracle and Fusion Cloud Oracle DB via OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud).
  • Implement and support Pub/Sub mechanisms for customer data exchange.

Operational Excellence:

  • Proactively monitor system health, query execution plans, and workload statistics.
  • Provide root cause analysis and resolution for performance incidents.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, with emphasis on Application DBA responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, optimizer hints, SQL and PL/SQL development and debugging.
