Job Description:

The Ecommerce Risk Management Specialist will be responsible for reviewing transactions being processed at acquired merchants via all channels like UPI, POS, and Payment Gateway. The role involves identifying and detecting fraudulent merchants based on their behavior patterns. Additionally, the specialist will examine and verify documents received from the merchant in case of escalations or fraud observed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review transactions being processed at acquired merchants via all channels like UPI, POS, and Payment Gateway.
  • Identify and detect fraudulent merchants based on their behavior patterns.
  • Examine and verify documents received from the merchant in case of escalations or fraud observed.
  • Communicate and inform stakeholders across the unit on frauds and patterns detected.
  • Inform rule creation for merchant monitoring based on observed patterns.
  • Stay up-to-date with fraud trends and Modus Operandi in the industry to prevent merchant fraud.
  • Follow up with concerned teams for data requirements.
  • Prepare and submit MIS reports to all concerned stakeholders.
  • Independently drive discussions with stakeholders on new requirements or enhanced surveillance measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years' experience in fraud monitoring and analysis.
  • Good understanding of merchant acquiring, payment aggregator business, UPI fraud.
  • Strong handle on MS Excel - filters, pivot tables, charts, lookup functions, etc.
  • Coding skills in SQL are a plus.
  • Educational background in Engineering, Statistics, or Econometrics is preferable.
