Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Technical Author to join our team at HCLTech. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and revising technical documentation, including Component Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogues, Service Bulletins, and Temporary Revisions.

  • Write procedures and functional descriptions by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit diagrams.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards (e.g., ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D), regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA), and internal quality guidelines.
  • Familiarity with structured documentation formats such as XML or SGML.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should have excellent writing and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Create and revise Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC), Service Bulletins, and Temporary Revisions for electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, IsoDraw CAD Process, or CorelDRAW for technical illustrations

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of ATA 100, ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, and Simplified Technical English.
  • Experience working with CAD tools like CATIA V5, UG (NX), and SolidWorks to generate accurate visuals.
