Job Summary

The Lead Application/Production Support role is a vital position that oversees the overall health and performance of applications in Investment Banking's front and middle offices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Incident Management and Monitoring
    • Act as the primary contact for applications, responding promptly to system alerts, incidents, and user-reported issues.
    • Analyse incidents to determine their root causes, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders on ongoing incidents.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to applications, databases, and integrations, coordinating with development teams to implement fixes and enhancements.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
    • Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and changes in the production environment.
    • Create and update support documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Change Management and Release Support
    • Assist in planning and executing application releases and updates, conducting impact assessments for proposed changes to production systems.
    • Ensure adherence to change management processes and policies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in supporting business applications, with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and ITIL processes.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, proficiency in troubleshooting Unix/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, scripting languages (Shell, Python, etc.), and database technologies such as SQL Server.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
