About the Role

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our innovation and R&D efforts, driving breakthroughs that propel our business forward.

As Head of Innovation and R&D, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic roadmap for product innovation and R&D initiatives across multiple categories. Your expertise in consumer research, food science, process engineering, packaging innovation, and sustainability will help shape market-fit innovations and drive cost-effective development through advanced formulation, sourcing, and manufacturing processes.

  • Innovation Strategy: Define long-term innovation roadmaps that align with brand vision and market trends.
  • R&D Leadership: Manage end-to-end product development from concept to commercialization, ensuring quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Team & Capability Building: Grow and mentor cross-functional teams, upskilling them with emerging tech and consumer insights.
  • Collaborations & Partnerships: Engage with academia, startups, ingredient suppliers, and food tech incubators to foster innovation.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years in R&D/Innovation roles, preferably in FMCG majors.
  • Proven track record of launching successful product lines and building new categories.
  • Expertise in consumer research, food science, process engineering, packaging innovation, and sustainability.
  • Advanced qualification (M.Tech/Ph.D.) in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field is preferred.
