Strategic Leadership Position in Higher Education

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Strategic Leadership professional responsible for driving thought leadership, policy advocacy, and project management initiatives in the higher education sector.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Higher Education Committee leadership and members to identify key areas of focus for thought leadership papers, reports, and articles. This includes interfacing regularly with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other stakeholders to proactively engage in developing FICCI inputs on government notifications and policy documents.

The ideal candidate will also develop strategic partnerships with university leaders, multilateral and bilateral organizations, and other important stakeholders in higher education.

In addition, the successful candidate will conduct periodic committee meetings, identify and create task forces to address specific sectoral issues, and work with these task forces to develop papers and execute bespoke projects.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Drive thought leadership and policy advocacy initiatives in the higher education sector.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, government agencies, and industry leaders.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy positions and recommendations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Manage and coordinate projects, including event planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, social sciences, or business administration.
  • At least 4-12 years of relevant experience in higher education, policy advocacy, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in driving thought leadership and policy advocacy initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
