About this role:

Mitigata is a leading cybersecurity and insurance company that helps businesses mitigate cyber risks through risk assessments, compliance consulting, cybersecurity solutions, and tailored insurance policies.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Security Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' data and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Endpoint Security (EDR/XDR):
    • Hands-on experience with Sophos and other EDR/XDR platforms is required.
    • Design and implement policies, rules, and playbooks for threat detection and response.
    • Strong knowledge of incident investigation, remediation, and tuning alerts is essential.
  • Device Management (MDM/UEM):
    • Well-versed with MDM/UEM solutions such as Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, MobileIron, or similar.
    • Implementation, policy configuration, and ongoing administration are necessary.
    • Ensure compliance for endpoints across different environments (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
  • ITSM Tool Management:
    • Working knowledge of ITSM tools (ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Jira Service Management, etc.) is required.
    • Experience in managing incidents, requests, changes, and problem workflows is essential.
    • Familiarity with integrating ITSM processes with security operations is necessary.
  • Compliance & Policy Implementation:
    • Strong understanding of ISO 27001 standards is required.
    • Implement, monitor, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls.
    • Experience working with audits, gap assessments, and remediation activities is essential.
  • General Security Skills & Experience:
    • Minimum 3–6 years of relevant industry experience is required.
    • Familiarity with vulnerability management, patch management, and security hardening is essential.
    • Knowledge of network security, access control, and identity management is necessary.
    • Exposure to working in SOC environments or coordinating with SOC teams is a plus.
