Content Editor Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced content editor to lead our team in content creation.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging content focused on education, careers, innovation, student initiatives, and campus life.
  • Collaborate with senior management on editorial planning, team performance, and content strategy.
  • Curate fresh story ideas and support field reporting when necessary.
  • Coordinate with designers and digital teams for timely and quality content delivery.
  • Mentor and lead a team of writers and interns to ensure quality and consistency across all content.
  • Work closely with the editorial team to plan and structure content for print and web editions.
  • Assign tasks, track progress, and provide feedback to team members to help them improve and grow.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the editorial guidelines and tone.
  • Edit and proofread articles submitted by reporters, freelancers, and contributors for accuracy, clarity, and grammar.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
  • 8 – 12 years of experience in journalism, preferably with a focus on education, youth, or career-related content.
  • Strong editing, writing, and storytelling skills with impeccable grammar.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing tools and social media platforms is an added advantage.
  • A keen interest in the education system and youth affairs.
  • Proven experience in handling and leading teams is a strong plus.
