Role Summary:

Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Regulatory Compliance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and possess relevant regulatory knowledge.

  • This role requires comprehensive product audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and implementing daily regulatory compliance requirements.
  • The job involves developing and maintaining robust internal control frameworks for banking products.
  • The individual will implement and track regulatory circulars, with a specific focus on KYC-related guidelines.
  • Preparation and submission of regulatory reports as per jurisdictional guidelines is also a key responsibility.
  • The role entails reviewing, validating, and reconciling data sources used for regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Periodic reviews to ensure customer onboarding and lifecycle management processes align with regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration with internal teams including Finance, Risk, and Compliance to gather data and ensure accuracy in reports.
  • Maintaining strong documentation and audit trails for all submissions.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a catalyst for management of the entire control management across the entity life-cycle (onboarding, post-modifications, and closure) of entities identified by the bank SOP for performance of any onboarding related consequence management or control actions.
  • Provide thought leadership and process improvement initiatives by demonstrating control across audit observations, good performance across risk scorecards, and ensure compliance for reporting to relevant external and internal authorities and control functions.

Requirements:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of KYC regulations and related circulars.
  • Strong understanding of banking product lifecycles and customer onboarding processes.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Process improvement in regulatory reporting.
  • Inputs to business basis control team inputs.
Educational Requirements:
  • Graduate/Post-graduate degree.
  • Understanding of KYC guidelines, analysis skill, good skill set on MS Office & SQL.
