POSITION OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible for crafting automated tests that ensure the reliability and quality of software applications. Your expertise in test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and software testing practices will be crucial in delivering efficient and high-quality automated test suites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and identify suitable test scenarios.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using relevant automation tools and frameworks.
  • Execute automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Identify and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing detailed information and steps to reproduce.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure changes or updates do not introduce new issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing clear and concise information about test results and defects.
  • Enhance and optimize automated test suites to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Participate in test plan and test case reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in automation testing, proposing their adoption in projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Applications.
  • Proven experience of 4+ years as an Automation Tester or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Cucumber.
  • Experience in designing and developing automation test scripts using programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript).
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and their implementation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate test results and issues to development teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
