Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager
Job Description:The primary role of this position is to oversee the HSE function at a manufacturing site. This involves leading and managing a team responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing safety protocols, and conducting risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE best practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of HSE initiatives into business operations.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of HSE-related activities, including incident reports and audit findings.
- Evaluate and improve existing HSE processes to minimize risks and enhance overall performance.
- Foster a positive safety culture by promoting employee awareness and involvement in HSE initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in a hazardous chemical or process industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HSE strategies that drive business results.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of national regulatory requirements and industry standards related to HSE.
