Job Opportunity: VFX Mentor

As a Visual Effects (VFX) studio, we are seeking an experienced Supervisor to mentor and direct our artists in the field of VFX.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert training on Houdini Software for Film and Advertising needs, from basic to advanced levels.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive training programs in RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.
  • Teaching industry-standard Lookdev techniques to achieve convincing results for clients.
  • Ensuring seamless integration between Houdini and other software such as Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa.
  • Enhancing individual skills of in-house VFX Artists through effective teaching methods and coaching.
  • Sharing experience and expertise as a VFX Artist in global cinema productions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series.
  • In-depth knowledge of the overall VFX workflow and production process.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with Houdini.
  • Strong understanding of compositing principles (Nuke preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of the Blender workflow is a plus.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Proficiency in English language.
