Embedded OpenGL Engineer

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for an experienced Embedded OpenGL Engineer to join our organization.

We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in embedded graphics programming, who can design, develop, and implement high-performance OpenGL ES applications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OpenGL ES (2.0/3.0/3.1) and shader programming (GLSL), as well as proficiency in C/C++ and experience in embedded Linux or RTOS environments.

A solid understanding of graphics pipelines, GPU architecture, and rendering optimization techniques is essential for this role.

Additionally, the candidate should have experience with framebuffers, EGL, DRM/KMS, and display driver interfaces, as well as familiarity with UI frameworks (Qt/QML, GTK, or similar) for HMI applications.

We also require strong debugging and profiling skills, including experience with tools such as RenderDoc, Perf, gDEBugger, and GPU vendor tools.

Prior experience with Vulkan API and modern graphics techniques is a plus, as is exposure to safety-critical systems (automotive, avionics, medical).

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement high-performance OpenGL ES applications
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate graphics components into larger systems
  • Collaborate with software engineers to develop and maintain OpenGL ES drivers and libraries
  • Develop and deliver training and documentation to internal stakeholders on OpenGL ES best practices and techniques
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in embedded graphics programming and apply new knowledge and technologies to improve existing systems and processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in embedded graphics programming
  • Strong hands-on experience with OpenGL ES (2.0/3.0/3.1) and shader programming (GLSL)
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and experience in embedded Linux or RTOS environments
  • Solid understanding of graphics pipelines, GPU architecture, and rendering optimization techniques
