Research Scientist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Scientist to lead our machine learning, operational research, statistics or highly quantitative field projects.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing predictive models using industrial experience and expertise. They should be able to solve complex problems with strong problem-solving ability and analyze large datasets using R, Matlab or other statistical software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop predictive models to drive business decisions
  • Solve complex analytical challenges with innovative solutions
  • Analyze and interpret large-scale data sets to inform strategic planning
  • Mentor junior team members on machine learning and data modeling best practices
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in predictive modeling and analysis
  • Experience handling large datasets (gigabyte and terabyte size)
  • Experience working with retail or e-commerce data
  • Experience with distributed systems and grid computing
  • Publications or presentations in recognized Machine Learning and Data Mining conferences
Requirements:
  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics or a highly quantitative field
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Python or similar scripting languages
