Synthetic Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking an Organic Synthesis Specialist to join our research team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing and executing synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programs.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in working on the bench, preferably in an industry, and be proficient in multistep organic synthesis, reaction optimization, and compound isolation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programs
• Track SAR and optimizing potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules for research programs
• Perform purification and structural characterization of compounds
• Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions

Requirements:

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related field
• PhD in organic chemistry / medicinal chemistry
• Postdoc in organic chemistry / Medicinal chemistry (Optional)
• 0-4 years of hands-on experience in working on the bench, preferably in an industry
