Senior Fluorescence Chemist

We are seeking an experienced chemist to join our Chemistry Division, where you will contribute to the development of novel fluorescent dyes and advanced organic compounds.

About the Job:

In this hands-on role, you will design, synthesize, and purify novel fluorescent dyes and advanced organic compounds. You will work closely with our biology and product development teams to align on project goals and ensure the success of your projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Synthetic Route Design and Execution: Design and execute multi-step synthetic routes for fluorescent dyes and related compounds.
• Purification Techniques: Apply advanced purification techniques such as column chromatography, HPLC, recrystallization, and preparative TLC.
• Analytical Expertise: Characterize compounds using NMR, LC-MS, UV-Vis, and fluorescence spectroscopy.
• Data Analysis: Analyze spectral data to confirm structure, identity, and purity.
• Lab Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed lab documentation.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with biology and product development teams to ensure project success.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or related field.
• Experience: 2–3 years hands-on experience in organic synthesis (industry experience a plus).
• Skills: Strong expertise in fluorophore/organic molecule synthesis & purification, proficiency in flash chromatography, HPLC, and advanced purification, analytical expertise in NMR (¹H, ¹³C), MS, and IR spectroscopy.
• Personal Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous lab practices, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
