Role Overview

  • We are seeking a Research Economist to join our team and contribute to the development of proprietary measures for the health and wellness of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) globally.

About the Job

This individual will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analyzing economic trends, and identifying key indicators for SME success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economics, statistics, or mathematics, and experience in statistical modeling, quantitative analysis, and data engineering.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement econometric models to analyze SME performance and identify leading indicators.
    • Analyze large datasets to uncover insights on SMEs' health and wellness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic solutions for clients and stakeholders.
    • Design and deliver presentations, reports, and visualizations to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in economic research and apply this knowledge to improve existing products and develop new solutions.

About You

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
    • Experience in statistical modeling, R development, data engineering, and SQL/Hadoop.
    • Proficiency in R, Python, or other major statistical packages.
    • Excellent communication and writing skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
