Database Leadership Role

We are seeking an accomplished Database Leader to spearhead the management of SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.

This position involves developing and enforcing database security and compliance standards, as well as contributing to infrastructure design and architecture planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performing team responsible for managing SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.
  • Develop and enforce database security and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to infrastructure design and architecture planning initiatives.
  • Implement automation for provisioning, patching, and administration using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
  • Monitor databases, servers, and storage to proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure database needs.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree with 46 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 68 years of relevant experience OR Diploma with 10-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in automating database tasks.
  • Proficiency with database performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Understanding of OS-level tools for troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and industry best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MSSQL AAG, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Data Guard.
  • Experience working in regulated environments, especially in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Proficient in Ansible and PowerShell automation.
  • Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL support.
