Lead Hardware Systems Engineer

The ideal candidate will lead the development of high-voltage power electronics systems, ensuring seamless integration with other engineering teams. Key responsibilities include defining system hardware architecture, collaborating on cross-functional projects, and overseeing simulation, modeling, and analysis of power electronics circuits.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-power designs for battery management systems and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering teams to ensure system-level design excellence.
  • Drive validation and testing of prototypes in lab and vehicle environments.
  • Select and integrate components according to automotive standards and safety protocols.
  • Develop schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools.
  • Conduct hardware validation, bring-up, and debugging using lab equipment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical reviews and design documentation.

About You:

  • A genuine passion for understanding complex power electronic systems and a desire to work collaboratively to achieve high levels of functionality.
  • Expertise in agile methods, toolsets like JIRA, SCRUM, and KANBAN, and experience with distributed features onboard and offboard.
  • Extensive experience in HV product development for EVs, system engineering, and knowledge of product development life cycles and software development life cycles.
  • Strong understanding of high-voltage systems, safety protocols, and thermal management.
  • Hands-on experience in CAN tools and excellent leadership, initiative, and drive to success.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in HV systems hardware design, Battery Management System design, at a lead position.
